This huge tour includes everything exciting in Morocco from west to north and from south to east.

The tour includes visiting all the major Moroccan cities, i.e. the imperial cities: Rabat, Marrakech Fes, and Meknes.

The tour also includes a trip across all the various Sahara spots like the oases, the dunes, and valleys, canyons, and Sahara towns.

But before you visit all of that, you get to see the North first. You’ll be visiting on this trip the famous Moroccan Blue City.

The trip then goes to Marrakech the Red City, which is by far the number 1 destination for tourists in Morocco. The Red City needs no introductions.

The tour goes to the coastal region of the West (because why not!). The most exciting spots on the coasts of Morocco are its ancient cities with lots of cultural/historical layers. Finally, the 15 days Casa tour goes to Marrakech.

In Marrakech, we have a day that can spent as a day trip to a nearby excursion site.

Overall, this is our most recommended trip for anyone who has more than a 20-day vacation and wants to visit North Africa. You’ll be landing in Casablanca, which is the pumping heart of the African economy. Casablanca is the hottest spot in Africa at the moment, and it’s really a cool city.

    Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca
     Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca

On the first day of your 15 days from Casablanca, we will welcome you right away at the airport. You can go to your hotel immediately after that because you’ll need to take some rest and probably have something to eat that isn’t unhealthy fast food. A tagine in this case is your best option. You can try the tagine with meatballs, juicy meatballs! If we have some extra time before it gets too late for your bedtime, you can go to visit Hassan II Mosque in the Corniche of Casablanca.

Hassan II Mosque is a spiritual landmark of all Moroccans because everyone back in the early 90s contributed to building it (my father gave 100 mad, which is like 11$ or so).

After exploring the Mosque, you can eat your dinner and probably have some sleep to prepare yourself for the journey the next day. If you’re a wild cat, there are plenty of cool nightclubs in Casa.

    Day 2: Casablanca - Rabat - Chefchaouen
    Day 2: Casablanca - Rabat - Chefchaouen

The 15 days tour from Casablanca actually starts during this day. We will immediately head to the North once you feel like waking up and eating something.

We will visit the capital city of Morocco, Rabat, which is a wonderful place with a rich history. Rabat is one of the coolest Moroccan cities. The people there are laid-back and super-friendly.

We will visit the Hassan Tower, which is an uncompleted mosque minaret from the 11th century that looks fascinating. After that, we can go to Oudaya Kasbah at the top of the hill that looks at the Atlantic. Soon after we’re done with Rabat, we will head to Chefchaouen, the famous Blue City of Morocco that you see in all YouTube videos and video clips that were filmed there.

Chefchaouen has a chill vibe that everyone appreciates. If you’re a pot user, Chefchaouen is a cool spot where you can get it. After we explore the city for a little while, we can go to a hotel where we can relax and grab a healthy bite.

    Day 3: Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes - Fes
    Day 3: Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes - Fes

Right after we eat our breakfast, we will head south. Our first significant stop will bill the 2,000-year-old Roman ruins and UNESCO World Heritage Site, Volubilis. Volubilis is a fascinating spot if you’re into Roman mythology; there’s a temple of Jupiter in there, quite a fascinating spot. After we explore Volubilis, we will head to the second imperial city of Morocco on our list, Meknes.

Meknes is a wholesome city that has some grand-scale historical monuments. For example, the huge Bab Mansour Gate is a perfect photography spot. You can visit the nearby riads of a glass of fresh mint tea.

Finally, we will head to Fes, which is the third imperial city of Morocco. You could say that Fes is THE IMPERIAL CITY because it’s the first capital of the Islamic/Amazigh Moroccan kingdom. In the medina of Fes lies the body of Moulay Idriss II, who was the Sultan who built Fez.

Idriss II was the son of Idriss II who was the great-grandson of the Prophet Mohamed and the daughter of the chief of an Amazigh tribe. Anyway, we will settle in a riad in Fes and have some relaxing time.

Day 4: Fes Sightseeing tour with a local guide
Day 4: Fes Sightseeing tour with a local guide

There are a lot of fascinating historical and cultural monuments all over Fes. Fes is one of the largest Moroccan cities.

The medina of Fes is one of the largest pedestrian spots in the world, there are no cars. Not to spoil the fun of exploring the medina of Fes or anything, but you should expect to visit the oldest university in the world, according to Guinness.

Day 5: Fes - Ifrane - Cedar Forest - Ziz Valley - Merzouga
Day 5: Fes - Ifrane - Cedar Forest - Ziz Valley - Merzouga

Departing from all the historical stuff in Fes, we will head to the Sahara in a looong journey! But before reaching the Sahara, we will stop shortly at Ifrane to get some fresh mountain air.

After that, we will stop a little bit at the cedar forests near Azrou to spend some time fooling around with the monkeys. Another stop will be the Apple Town, Midelt, something that’s confirmed with the two huge apple statues in the city.

If you’re lucky enough to visit Midelt during the apple season (the fall), you can taste some of the finest apples in the world, by all standards. After leaving Midelt, we will travel on another long journey across Ziz Valley before we reach Merzouga.

At Merzouga, we will accommodate in a Kasbah with a swimming pool and a bar to relax a little bit before we sleep.

Day 6: Merzouga (Camel Ride & Night in Sahara)
Day 6: Merzouga (Camel Ride & Night in Sahara)

This day is the highlight of the Sahara stay. We will explore the Sahara 21st-century style and traditional style. Firstly, we will ride the 4x4 vehicle across the Dunes and explore the region around.

We will meet the nomads and generally have fun. We can try sandboarding. If you’re a romantic, we might visit a nearby lake and oasis and just chill, anything you want. As for the rest of the afternoon, we will ride the camels and head to the depths of Erg Chebbi Dunes, where we will camp.

The desert camp experience is a transformational experience. The starry night sky, the beats of the desert live music, and the vastness of the dunes are all awe-inducing factors that will make your night mystical. Oh, and the food is amazing! It goes with the vibe.

Day 7: Erg Chebbi - Erfoud -Todra Gorges -Dades Valley
Day 7: Erg Chebbi - Erfoud -Todra Gorges -Dades Valley

We typically wake up at dawn to witness the desert sunrise, which is an absolutely epic view. After that, we will ride the camels and head to the town where we have our luggage at the Kasbah. We will go to Erfoud after that.

We will quickly stop there if you want to check some fossils or whatever. After that, we will go to one of the most fantastic spots in the Sahara region, Toudra Gorges. Toudra has the tallest canyons in Morocco, which are perfect for climbing.

The landscapes and the weather are a lot nicer in Toudra. Finally, we will head to Dades Valley, which is another amazing natural scenery. We will stop there in a cool hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening.

Day 8: Dades Valley - Rose Valley - Skoura - Ouarzazate
Day 8: Dades Valley - Rose Valley - Skoura - Ouarzazate

We will leave Dades after breakfast, taking the 1,000 Kasbahs road. We will see all kinds of old buildings all over. After that, we will cross the Rose Valley, a region that’s well known for its rose-based culture; they even have a festival for roses and Miss Rose pageant. Then, we will go to Ouarzazate where we will settle down after we visit Skoura Oasis.

    Day 9: Ouarzazate -Taliouine -Taroudante
    Day 9: Ouarzazate -Taliouine -Taroudante

After we wake up, we will explore the famous spots that got Ouarzazate its title as the Hollywood of Morocco. Then we will go to Taliouine, which is a town that’s well-known for its high-quality saffron, which is considered very valuable in Morocco. Then, the tour takes us to Taroudant. Apart from being one of the loveliest and safe cities in Morocco, the people of Taroudant are the best testament of Amazigh hospitality.

    Day 10: Taroudante - Agadir - Essaouira
    Day 10: Taroudante - Agadir - Essaouira

We will leave Taroudant early in the morning and head to Agadir. Agadir has the world record for the sunniest beaches. We can have an early lunch in Agadir before we hurry to catch the sunset in Essaouira.

Essaouira is a hub for artists and free-spirited people from all over the world, hell even Jimi Hendrix used to have an old building in there.

Essaouira is home to many cultural landmarks that belong to cultures such as Phoenicians, Amazighs, Portuguese, Jewish, Muslims, and modern Moroccans. It’s certainly one of the best places to taste seafood in all its shapes, tastes, and species.

    Day 11: Essaouira - Marrakech
    Day 11: Essaouira - Marrakech

From Essaouira, we will head to the Red City Marrakech, which is probably something you’re really excited about because Marrakech is the number 1 tourist attraction in Morocco. Before we reach the Red City, we will first stop at an argan field and cooperative where they process those magical seeds. The Red City Marrakech is the last imperial city on our list. At the heights of the Moroccan kingdom, when it was the most powerful kingdom in the region, Marrakech was the throne.

It was the throne over most of North Africa and European Iberia. Many monuments stand in Marrakech as testaments for that ancient history. But to be honest, the best thing you can do in Marrakech is to forget about the history and all the boring stuff, and party like there’s no tomorrow.

    Day 12: Marrakech sight seeing
    Day 12: Marrakech sight seeing

Anyway, the day starts after we eat our breakfast at the riad where we stayed last night. We will explore all the cool spots of Marrakech, starting with the Medina, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Writing about all the landmarks of Marrakech will take the whole day. And honestly, it’s better if you go there and be physically present in those ancient Reddish walls and buildings.

The trip also includes visiting Djamaa El Fna Square, which is the busiest square in Africa. Don’t worry, there’s a spot for everyone. At the end of the day, you can party like last night!

Day 13: Marrakech or Optional Excursion
Day 13: Marrakech or Optional Excursion

See, during this day, you can take a Marrakech excursion to wherever you want. Or you can spend the day exploring more of Marrakech if you liked the vibe there. We generally recommend taking the excursion to Ourika Valley or the one to Ouzoud Waterfalls.

    Day 14: Marrakech - Casablanca
    Day 14: Marrakech - Casablanca

During this day, we will take the highway to Casablanca, nothing special happening; it’s the same boring highway as in the whole of the world. Once in Casablanca, you will probably feel nostalgic and melancholic. But don’t worry, you have the whole day to spend in Casablanca. If you’re into that kind of lifestyle (or young enough to enjoy it), you can go out and party or have a drink.

    Day 15: Casablanca - Airport

This is the final day of the 15 days tour from Casablanca. Depending on the time of your flight, we will take you to the airport.

    Excellent service

My wife and I took a trip to Morocco to celebrate my 40th birthday. In order to ensure that the trip flowed seamlessly, we hired Ali of Atlas Excursion as our tour guide and I cannot overstate what an amazing time we had. Ali partnered with my travel agent to coordinate a 5-star birthday dinner at a French restaurant which turned out to be hands down the best dining experience we had in Morocco. Having traveled to over 30 countries and hired several tour guides across multiple continents, Ali was easily the BEST tour guide we have ever worked with in every regard. From his exceptional customer service and warm, welcoming spirit to his wealth of knowledge and genuine passion for his country as well as what he does, Ali contributed significantly to what has gone down as our most exciting and memorable trip yet. Ali was polite, funny, honest, kind and most importantly very knowledgeable about the rich culture and history of Morocco. Atlas Excursion gave us the tour of our lives, covering the most picturesque and historically abundant places across Morocco from the Sahara Desert to some of the most captivating cities in Morocco including Fes, Marrakesh, Essaouira and Chefchaouen/ ”The Blue City”, to name a few. I would highly recommend Atlas Excursion to any one of my friends and family members. The high level of professional service Ali provided was above and beyond what we expected. Morocco is an astonishing country and everyone should consider visiting at least once in their lifetime. I would like to express profound thanks to Ali and Atlas Excursion for such an incredible job and I am confident that as long as he conducts every tour the way he conducted ours then Atlas Excursion, if it isn’t already, is on its way to being the top tour company in Morocco- I only wish he could be my tour guide on all future trips. Tens across the board!

    Wonders of Morocco

Our Morocco trip was perfect thanks to Mimoun. I am a planner and like to plan down to the smallest details and Mimoun put up with all my questions and concerns about planning a trip during a pandemic. Our trip was totally customized to what we wanted to do and how much time we spent at each location. If you have the time, I recommend spending at least 14 days in Morocco to really experience the sites, people, and culture. We had been to other countries in Africa, but none of them can prepare you for your Moroccan experience. We had to cancel our first trip due to Covid, and visited the following October. October was a great time to visit Morocco as the weather is a bit more pleasant. Our gold star service started with Hassan picking us up at our hotel in Casablanca with a warm welcoming smile and a wealth of knowledge about the glorious city (it's the financial center of Morocco). Next, we were off to Rabat, the capital city where the royal family lives. Hassan has a vast wealth of knowledge about the rich history of the imperial cities, as well as a great understanding of other cultures, languages, and religions to really get into meaningful discussions about the politics and social customs of Morocco. He's a smart man with keen insights and he helped us to understand so much more about Morocco than we thought we would. His wit and sense of humor helped to make those long drives very interactive and enjoyable. After Rabat came Chefchaouen, Volubilis, (I highly recommend the wine tour if you are a wine drinker) Fez, Meknes, Ifrane (definitely visit the monkeys in the cedar forest!), Erfoud (We love fossils and discovered that Hamid was a fossil and meteorite hobbyist, such fun!), then the desert for 2 nights -visiting the nomads was an amazing experience (I recommend doing the nomad excursion as it is a real eye-opener into the reality of daily living for some, as well as a delicious lunch and quiet respite). We started our way back through Merzouga, driving through Ouarzazate- mesmerized by the gorges and picturesque valleys- up through the majestic Atlas mountains to Marrakech with a refreshing day trip to the fishing port of Essaouira. It's really difficult to describe the beauty of Morocco, the strength of its people (especially the Berber women, wow, they put the rest of us to shame! They are truly amazing women!), and the ever-present artistry beyond each corner you turn. This tour is a must-do if you are thinking about visiting Morocco. Hassan is par excellence and we would highly recommend Atlas Excursion to everyone. From the mosaic-rich Riads we stayed in, pristine gardens we walked through, the entranced medinas, the enchanting kasbahs, the majestic palaces, and so much more, Hassan gave us a once in a lifetime fantastic experience. Thank you so much! Best wishes and good health to you and yours. b'Saha - our takeaway phrase.

    What a fantastic experience!

We were booking this tour as a family of four with two teenage kids. Hassan, our guide, took us over the amazing Ait Benhaddou and the beautiful Dades valley. We had an unforgettable experience in Marakech and Essaouira. During the tour, we stopped at lots of historic places and I especially appreciate some of the off-the-beaten track places we've visited such as the Jamaa El Fna, the beautiful walls of Essaouira, and the old medina of Fez. Hassan, is an experienced guide and was able to give us a real world view on how the people live in Morocco. He was so kind and we felt so safe with him even in the most isolated places. It was a fantastic experience!
